Sim & Hooi Dental Centre (PJ)

I was visiting from Australia and Dr Pei Yun managed to fit me in on my last week to get my permanent retainer removed and to make new retainers for me. Her service was amazing and she is very thorough during the whole appointment. I saw her again before I left to get my new retainers and again top notch service. She took the time to make fine adjustment to my retainer and to clean up leftover composite from my previous appointment. I highly recommended her for anyone around the area looking for a dentist or any visitors looking to get some dental done 👌

Dr Hooi is a very calm, professional, reassuring and dexterous dentist. Especially grateful to get an urgent last minute slot when my large cavity filling came off and he arranged for an urgent crown preparation for me. Dentists are not my best friends, but Dr Hooi is highly recommended 🙂

First time visiting Sim and Hooi Dental Centre and I’m truly impressed. The staff are kind and helpful, and Dr. Hooi is amazing – gentle, patient, and very professional. The dental treatment itself was okay, but the front desk service was highly disappointing. During my first visit for a tooth extraction with Dr. Hooi, I was immediately asked by the front desk to leave a Google review right after the procedure. At that point, I was still in pain and feeling unwell after lying down for mostly two hours. Asking a patient in such a condition to log in and write a review on the spot, simply to receive a small gift, felt very inappropriate and inconsiderate. On my second visit for a tooth filling, the same situation occurred. After another lengthy procedure, with my mouth still numb and my head not fully clear, the first thing I was asked upon leaving the treatment room was whether I wanted to book another appointment. When I asked why, I was told it was for "another tooth filling", even though my other teeth are still fine. This came across as pushy and overly focused on sales rather than patient care. While the dental treatment itself is okay, the front desk approach leaves a very negative impression. For this reason, I would not recommend this clinic.

I recently visited Dr. Hooi for an examination of my front tooth to determine the next course of action. Dr. Hooi was very patient in explaining the procedures I would be going through, making sure I understood everything clearly. His friendly and approachable manner helped me feel very much at ease, and the whole experience was far less stressful than I had expected. I truly appreciate the care and professionalism shown, and would definitely recommend Dr. Hooi to anyone seeking dental treatment.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Fiona for my dental care, and I can honestly say she’s one of the best dentists I’ve ever had. She is incredibly skillful and gentle — I didn’t feel any pain at all during my treatment. What really stands out is her genuine care for patients. She always takes the time to explain clearly, makes sure I’m comfortable, and follows up after procedures.
