One of the best - if not he is D best for Ipoh! Reasonably priced for his extraordinary talent. Upkeeps his craft in Japan annually. Made my heavy mane sooo easy to manage!! I used to take 1 hour 30mins to iron and curl my hair on my own - now it not only takes 20mins but his haircuts makes ANYONE look younger and fresher! Best part? The look grows more and more beautiful as the hair grows longer! ( how is that possible?!! - a good stylist is the answer ) Passionate about hair. Products are of the best quality in the global market- Italy, USA, Japan etc * I coloured my hair to cover all my greys. Inherited DNA 🧬 and childbirth caused them to appear early 😭 Photos are non edited. Just woke up hair. Looks more amazing after very very simple styling.

We needed a wash, blowdry and a men’s trim last minute, ready for a dinner during a visit to Ipoh. We came across Rao’s salon and were relieved to find he could fit us in for an afternoon appointment. He was amazing and getting us both looking sharp in such good time. Struggling with my fine, soft hair, Joey recommended a body perm for volume, a great haircut, and a balayage that perfectly suited my style and skin tone. The results are beautiful, and my hair flows wonderfully. Plus, the keratin treatment left it healthy and shiny, using quality products like K18. Joey's recommendations made it easy to achieve a polished look with minimal effort. Highly recommend!

As someone who's always struggled with trust issues with hairdressers, I'm beyond glad that I chose to trust Rao with my silver highlights! Not everyone can lift jet-black (not to mention previously failed bleaching at other salons and self-dyed black hair) to a perfect silver, but Rao did it flawlessly. The bleaching process was done with extreme precision and high-quality products, and not a single strand of my bleached hair has fallen during showers—even after three weeks! My hair still feels strong and healthy, which is rare after such a drastic colour transformation. Plus, Rao provides excellent customer service—super patient, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. He explained every step of the process, checked in regularly, and truly cared about the final result. If you're looking for a hairdresser who truly knows their craft, especially with extreme color transformations, this is definitely the place to go. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair now!
